PULSAR® - Products Summary
AccSys Technology's PULSAR® product
line represents the next generation of positron
radiotracer production equipment. Combined with
commercially available synthesis boxes, the PULSAR®
system can produce enough FDG for in house use and for
distribution to other imaging centers. Efficient, cost
effective, and reliable production of molecular tracers
is now available with the PULSAR®.

The
PULSAR® system utilizes a compact AccSys PL-7
proton linac which incorporates the latest in advanced
rf ion linac technology. Its modest 7.0 MeV energy and
high proton beam current combine to give outstanding
performance in a compact, affordable package. The basic
PULSAR® 7 produces 18F ion yields of more
than 2 Curies (Ci) per 2 hours of irradiation.
For the
heavy users of the PET isotope, the production of more
than 5 Ci/2 hrs of 18F can be achievable by
the proton energy of 10.5 MeV chosen for the PULSAR®
11.
